The brand recently dropped its Spring/Summer 2019 Collection, and in the process, kicked off anticipation for the upcoming golf season.

With this new collection, Puma brings a mix of fresh styles, graphics, spring color stories, and cutting-edge technology to the course. Over the years, Rickie Fowler has made strong statements on the fairways with Puma’s bold and colorful graphic prints. This season sees an evolution in style for Rickie and the brand as more refined prints take center stage in the collection. The subtle prints still find themselves on trend while creating a visually interesting aesthetic that easily transitions to off-course settings. Many of the prints in the collection were created through a new fabrication process called ALTERKNIT. With ALTERKNIT, patterns are knitted through a 3D jacquard instead of a more traditional graphic print. The result is garments that provide added breathability for comfort in a variety of conditions. Three key shirts in the men’s collection, the Prismatic Polo, the Radius Polo, and the Palms Polo feature ALTERKNIT while the Burst into Bloom Polo on the women’s side showcases the new technology.

Adding to the technological advancements is FUSIONYARN Flex. The blend of performance and natural fibers builds on Puma’s FUSIONYARN fabric, which was first released in its AW’18 Collection. The concept was born from a photo shoot with Rickie Fowler last winter. The four-time PGA Tour winner requested more stretch for better range of motion. In response, designers added elastane fibers to the cotton/poly blend to give Fowler a material with the feel of cotton, the moisture-wicking properties of a synthetic, and the playability of four-way stretch. Look for Fowler to rock three polos from the men’s collection with FUSIONYARN Flex—the Verdant Polo, Pin High Polo, and Faraday Polo. On the women’s side, Lexi Thompson will sport the Burst into Bloom Polo and the Race Day Polo with the new blend throughout the season.

Rickie Fowler consistently finds himself at the forefront of the biggest trends in golf fashion. He was one of the first players to bring a more casual and modern look to the course with 5-pocket trousers. With the arrival of Puma’s SS’19 Collection, Fowler will turn to a new 5-pocket pant dubbed the Jackpot. In order to hit the proverbial jackpot with this pant, designers focused on the three F’s—fabric, fit, and function. This contemporary pant features a moisture-wicking polyester fabric, stretch-mesh waistband and is designed to fit and drape perfectly. It is also available in a wide spectrum of colors, allowing players to play it safe or dial up a colorful look. Traditional colors like peacoat (navy), white, black, and quiet shade (grey) are mixed with fashion-forward hues such as pale pink, surf the web (bright blue), Ashely blue, chocolate brown, and orange. The fit, fabric, and performance of the Jackpot Pant make it polished enough for the office and comfortable enough for the course. Joining the Jackpot Pant is the Jackpot Short. The short is available in no less than 14 colors, including vibrant spring hues such as pale pink, fuchsia purple, and blue azur.

For women, Puma’s SS’19 Collection takes inspiration from the athleisure movement by infusing performance fabrics and silhouettes that work well both on and off the course. Engineered to provide a smooth, slimming effect, Puma’s PWRSHAPETM Technology continues to be at the heart of the brand’s collection. A key addition to the women’s lineup for 2019 is the tennis-inspired PWRSHAPE On Repleat Skirt, which is available in four fresh colorways, including black, pale pink, peacoat and bright white.
