Cam Davis pockets cool $1.35 million from a $7.5 million purse for his playoff victory

The 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit was a thrilling finish, as Australia’s Cam Davis prevailed over Troy Merritt and Joaquin Niemann in a three-man playoff for his first career PGA Tour title.

Davis shot a 31 on the back nine to sneak into the playoff. Niemann was eliminated when he bogeyed the first hole of sudden death. Merritt was bounced when he bogeyed the fifth hole of the overtime session.
