2023 Charles Schwab Challenge Full Field: 11 of World Top 30 Heading to Colonial

Hogan's Alley provides a tight test and several popular Texans on Tour will be there.

The grind resumes on the PGA Tour after a major week as the Texas two-step through the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex concludes at hallowed Colonial Country Club.

Eleven of the top 30 in the OWGR (10 of 30 in the SI World Golf Ranking) will travel from the PGA Championship to Texas, led by Texas native Scottie Scheffler. Jordan Spieth and Tom Hoge are also scheduled to play. Louisiana native Sam Burns, a winner earlier this year at the WGC-Dell Match Play in Austin, Texas, returns as the defending champion. He defeated Scheffler last year in a playoff.

The first half of the metroplex swing came prior to the PGA Championship with the AT&T Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch.

Colonial, known as Hogan's Alley, is a 7,200-yard par-70 which has tested players with its tight corridors since 1946. It's also an invitational event, meaning a smaller field (120 players) with some different exemption criteria than other regular Tour stops.

The purse is $8.7 million with $1,566,000 paid to the winner.
