Golf News: Champions Tour reschedules Iowa event due to coronavirus

Principal Charity Classic will move from late May to early September, the 50-and-older tour announced

Rescheduled: By the Champions Tour, the Principal Charity Classic, for Sept. 4-6 at Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa, the tour announced. The tournament had been set for May 29-31 but fell victim to the widening coronavirus pandemic. However, the tournament scheduled to be played one week earlier, the Senior PGA, remains set for May 21-24. The Principal Charity Classic was the sixth tournament to be rescheduled, postponed or canceled on the 50-and-older tour because of the viral outbreak.
