Australasian Tour adopts wraparound schedule

In wake of coronavirus shutdown, tour will implement an October-March season Down Under

Reimagined: By the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia, its tournament schedule for the coming season, the tour announced in a news release Sunday. Because of the coronavirus pandemic and the effect on the 2020 golf calendar, the tour will implement a wraparound schedule from October through March, when it will crown its Order of Merit season champion. The Australasian Tour will adopt a similar schedule for future seasons. Tour officials anticipate adding new events to the January-February window. The tour’s Order of Merit winner receives a one-year exemption onto the European Tour.
