Disclosed: By the PGA Tour, that two consecutive tournaments will be played next month at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio, the Tour announced Tuesday on its website. Workday, a software vendor, will title-sponsor an event July 9-12 in the week recently vacated by the John Deere Classic. The new tournament will precede the annual Memorial Tournament, to be played July 16-19. The Workday-sponsored tournament will be the sixth event on the Tour’s revised 2020 schedule, which restarts next week with the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas. The Tour has been idled for three months because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Tour expects to release more details about the new event soon.
