Canceled: By the Staysure Tour, the 2020 season, the European senior tour announced Friday in a news release, citing complications from the coronavirus pandemic. The tour cited “the additional risk associated with the age demographic of the players and the complexities of staging events across multiple territories” in the wake of the health crisis. Counting the Senior PGA, U.S. Senior Open and Senior British Open, which already had been canceled by other organizations – the PGA of America, U.S. Golf Association and the R&A, respectively – the Staysure Tour had only seven tournaments scheduled this year, none of which had been played. The tour extended all playing exemption categories to the 2021 season. The U.S.-based Champions Tour, which has not competed since March 8, is scheduled to resume play July 31.
