2020 Workday Charity Open tee times

Former major champions Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka and Jason Day highlight pairings for 1st of 2 events at Muirfield Village

Americans Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka will join Australian Jason Day in a featured pairing of former major champions Thursday in the first round of the PGA Tour’s inaugural Workday Charity Open.

The tournament will be the first of two consecutive events played at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Next week, club founder Jack Nicklaus will welcome the Tour back for the Memorial Tournament.

Thomas, who is No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking, has posted two top-10 finished in three starts since the PGA Tour resumed play in early June after a three-month suspension during the coronavirus pandemic. Koepka, who is No. 6 in the world order, has one top-10 result in two appearances since the season restart. Day, who has slipped to No. 63 in the OWGR after three missed cuts in four starts since the season restart, makes his home in the Columbus area.

Among the players who won’t be playing this week: Bryson DeChambeau, who has recorded seven consecutive top-10 results, including his sixth career victory last week in the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit. Also, Tiger Woods has yet to declare where he will restart his season.

Thomas, Koepka and Day will tee off at 7:45 a.m. EDT Thursday on No. 10 (tee times).

The tournament also will feature defending champion Patrick Cantlay with fellow Americans Phil Mickelson and Jordan Spieth in the 1:10 p.m. pairing off No. 1.
