USGA, LPGA set dates for 2021 senior women’s events

U.S. Senior Women’s Open and Senior LPGA Championship will be played in consecutive weeks in late August

Announced: By the USGA and the LPGA, the dates for the two 2021 senior women’s major championships, which will be played in consecutive weeks. The U.S. Senior Women’s Open will be held Aug. 19-22 at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, Conn., followed by the Senior LPGA Championship on Aug. 27-29 at French Lick (Ind.) Resort’s Pete Dye Course. Both tournaments were canceled in 2020 because of the global coronavirus pandemic. The events are relatively new additions to the national golf calendar. This will be the third edition of the Senior Women’s Open, which debuted in 2018, and the fourth playing of the Senior LPGA, which was introduced in 2016.
