Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship: Prize money

The winner at the PGA Tour event in the Dominican Republic will receive $720,000 from the $4 million purse

The PGA Tour resumes its 2020-21 season this week in the Caribbean with the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell was on the field list to defend his title at the resort’s Corales Golf Course, a windswept 7,666-yard, par-72 track designed by Tom Fazio. The winner will collect $720,000 from the $4 million purse, which likely will be one of the smallest on Tour this season. The tournament originally was scheduled to have been played opposite the WGC HSBC Champions in Shanghai, which was canceled because of international travel restrictions related to the global coronavirus pandemic.

The Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship is one of three international tournaments on the PGA Tour’s 2020-21 schedule before the new year begins for the Tour in Hawaii. The other foreign stops: Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at the Bermuda Championship and Dec. 3-6 in Mexico for the Mayakoba Golf Classic.
