2020 Zozo Championship: Prize money, payouts and purse

Patrick Cantlay earns $1.44 million from the $8 million purse for his 1-stroke victory at Sherwood Country Club in California

Patrick Cantlay earned $1.44 million for his victory Sunday in the PGA Tour’s Zozo Championship at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Cantlay, a native of nearly Long Beach who played college golf at UCLA, shot 7-under 65 for a 23-under 265 total and one-stroke victory over Spain's Jon Rahm and American Justin Thomas (scores).

The tournament, which made its debut last year in Japan, was relocated to Southern California because of travel restrictions associated with the global coronavirus pandemic. Tiger Woods won the inaugural edition for his 82nd PGA Tour title, tying the late Sam Snead for the Tour’s all-time lead. Woods tied for 72nd in his title defense.
