U.S. Senior Women’s Open changes dates

USGA reschedules event for July 29-Aug. 1 to accommodate NBC and avoid previous conflict with Women’s British Open

Announced: By the USGA, new dates for the U.S. Senior Women’s Open, to accommodate NBC’s broadcast schedule, according to a news release issued Tuesday. The event will be played July 29-Aug. 1 at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, Conn. The tournament had been scheduled for Aug. 19-22, opposite the Women’s British Open, which is co-sponsored by the LPGA and the Ladies European Tour. The U.S. Senior Women’s Open was one of 10 USGA events that were canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
