Patrick Reed earned $1.35 million from the $7.5 million purse for his victory Sunday at the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open.

Reed ran away from the field for a five-stroke victory (scores). It was his ninth career title.

The tournament at the San Diego municipal complex, which also will play host to this year's U.S. Open, was the second of five events on the PGA Tour's annual West Coast Swing.
