2021 U.S. Women’s Open tee times

American sisters Jessica and Nelly Korda will join South Korea’s So Yeon Ryu in a power pairing at San Francisco’s Olympic Club

Sisters Jessica and Nelly Korda will form two-thirds of one of the featured pairings for the 76th U.S. Women’s Open this week at Olympic Club’s Lake Course in San Francisco, the USGA announced Monday.

Nelly Korda, who at age 22 is the younger of the siblings, is the highest-ranked American in the Rolex Rankings, at No. 4. She is a four-time winner on the LPGA, most recently on Feb. 28 at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. Her older sister, 11th-ranked Jessica, 28, has won six times on the LPGA, most recently on Jan. 24 at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions. Each is looking for her first major championship. They will be paired with South Korea’s So Yeon Ryu, who is No. 17 in the world. Her six LPGA victories feature two major titles, including the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open. They will begin play at 8:28 a.m. PDT on the No. 9 tee.

The group just ahead of them on the ninth tee, at 8:17 a.m., will feature American Danielle Kang, who is No. 6 in the world, with No. 1-ranked Jin Young Ko of South Korea and No. 14 Hannah Green of Australia.

The USGA formed a nostalgic all-American pairing at 1:40 p.m. on the No. 1 tee. Paula Creamer, who was granted a special exemption and will be making her first start in a major championship in nearly two years, will play with Michelle Wie West and Cristie Kerr. Creamer grew up in nearby Pleasanton, Calif. All are past champions and among 13 former U.S. Women’s Open winners in the field: Na Yeon Choi (2012), In Gee Chun (2015), Creamer (2010), Eun Hee Ji (2009), Ariya Jutanugarn (2018), Kerr (2007), A Lim Kim (2020), Brittany Lang (2016), Jeongeun Lee6 (2019), Inbee Park (2008, 2013), Sung Hyun Park (2017), So Yeon Ryu (2011) and Wie West (2014).

After 36 holes, the 156-woman field will be cut to the low 60 and ties for the final two rounds.
