Golf World Reacts to Lexi Thompson Nearly Making Cut at Shriners Children's Open

Lexi Thompson gave it a great run at the Shriner's Children's Open in Las Vegas. She shot 73-69 to miss the cut by two shots. Only one woman in history, Babe Didrikson Zaharias in 1945, has made a PGA Tour cut. The golf world was watching and many took time to congratulate Thompson on her accomplishment.

I was surprised by Lexi’s invite and now I’m more surprised by how she played this week. 👏👏

All the props in the world to Lexi and everyone involved! https://t.co/2EPhc1CZTr
Also very much enjoyed all the skeptical replies about delusional dudes that think they can compete on the LPGA. This one took the cake though. pic.twitter.com/12vJg55X1W
