Justin Thomas Jokingly Clashes With Justin Timberlake Over Who Is the Superior ‘JT’

Justin Thomas and J.T. Poston thought the joke was over, until a third “JT” entered the chat.

There’s a unique tradition at the Valspar Championship: Players can write whatever they want on the back of their caddie’s bib. Naturally, when J.T. Poston found out he was paired up with two-time major champion, Justin Thomas, he decided to make light of the situation. The back of his caddie’s uniform read “The Other J.T.”

After Thomas beat Poston by one shot on Thursday, he took to Twitter to claim his throne, but little did he know that another much more famous “JT” would chime into the conversation soon enough.

“Huge putt on the last to clip @JT_ThePostman by 1 today. Gives me full ‘JT’ bragging rights for tomorrow,” Thomas captioned his retweet of Poston’s photo.

Thomas probably thought his superior “JT” status was settled once and for all, but about 24 hours later, 10-time Grammy Award winning artist Justin Timberlake decided to clear things up.

“I’ve entered the comments,” Timberlake wrote.

Thomas’s reply to Timberlake’s simple but telling message was absolutely perfect.

“Cmon man...can’t you just let us have one week!!!” Thomas wrote.

Timberlake, who is an avid golfer himself has yet to respond to Thomas, but it’s safe to say that the pop star isn’t relinquishing his position in this ranking any time soon.
