Masters Champion Jon Rahm Has Made a Mind-Boggling Amount of Money This Year

Jon Rahm captured his second major title Sunday by winning the 2023 Masters.
The victory also marks his fourth title just this year. With his career-best start to a season, Rahm has already made $13,288,540 in prize money alone in just over three months.
To put this outrageously high amount in perspective, last year’s Masters winner Scottie Scheffler won a total of $14,046,909 in prize money from the entire year while winning four PGA Tour events.
The Spaniard won $3.24 million alone for winning the Masters this weekend as part of the tournament’s record high $18 million total purse. Part of the reason Rahm’s winners earnings were higher than years prior is the new elevated events on the PGA Tour this season. Other events will have a record $20 million purse, meaning the winners will earn around $4 million.
From his other 2023 Tour wins, Rahm earned $2.7 million from the Sentry Tournament of Champions, $1.44 million from the American Express tournament and $3.6 million from the Genesis Invitational.
Rahm has a chance to earn millions more this year as there are still three majors remaining, along with over a dozen other tournaments.
