Rickie Fowler Joins TGL, Tiger Woods’s and Rory McIlroy’s Simulator Golf League

Rickie Fowler is the latest PGA Tour player to join Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s star-studded Monday night golf league, TGL

Fowler—a five-time winner on the PGA Tour—is the 12th player to sign on to the tech-infused series. Players set to participate starting in the winter of 2024 include Woods, McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Adam Scott, Matt Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Justin Rose and Xander Schauffele

“The more I learn about TGL the more excited I am to be a part of it. I love the idea of inviting fans to watch golf within an environment that is very similar to other primetime professional sports. Innovative approaches like this will broaden the appeal of golf, not just provide traditional fans an opportunity to see the sports’ biggest stars compete in primetime, but a modern presentation that broadens golf’s fanbase—especially with younger fans,” Fowler said in a statement.

With a total of six teams of three players, TGL is expected to announce its next six league additions in the coming months. The series will be played in a custom-built venue in Palm Beach, Fla.

TGL’s roster now includes six of the top 10 players in the world. There are 186 PGA Tour victories combined among the players, in addition to 27 major championships and 880 weeks at world No. 1.

“Rickie has consistently been one of the most popular players on the PGA Tour,” said Mike McCarley, co-founder of the TGL. “He is a fan favorite with fans of all ages and walks of life. We welcome him to TGL as Rickie’s dynamic personality and competitiveness will thrive in the TGL environment as we pit top stars in a primetime team competition that fuses technology and traditional golf.”
