Hilarious Video Shows Moment Scottie Scheffler Gave Up on His Driver

Scottie Scheffler had a solid second round in the U.S. Open, shooting a two-under 68 to follow up his opening three-under 67 from Thursday. He enters Saturday just five back of Rickie Fowler for the lead and in position to make a run.
After his round, Scheffler went to the driving range to test out his club options between an older and newer driver. It appears he swapped out his old driver head for a new one, and seemed to make that decision after one swing with his old driver.
Scheffler saw the flight of one driving range ball, and disliked it so much that he threw away his golf club before the ball landed.
Scottie the last player on the range. Was testing a new driver head, which he ended up swapping in to replace the old one.

Scheffler only hit six of 13 fairways on Friday, so it’s understandable that he wants to improve on his drive for the weekend. As the No. 1–ranked golfer in the world entering this tournament, Scheffler has a chance to claim his second career major victory to join his 2022 Masters title.
On Saturday, Scheffler will pair with Cameron Smith, and the two will tee off at 2:56 p.m. local time (5:56 p.m. ET) as they try to make a move towards the top of the leaderboard.
