Joe LaCava, Tiger Woods’s longtime caddie, has a new full-time job looping for Patrick Cantlay on the PGA Tour. This week, however, Cantlay is skipping the AT&T Byron Nelson in advance of next week’s PGA Championship, and it seems as though LaCava has landed a part-time gig elsewhere.

The veteran caddie was spotted at Upper Montclair Country Club, the host site of this week’s Cognizant Founders Cup, prepping for the tournament with the one and only Nelly Korda

According to Ryan French, LaCava is picking up the bag for the LPGA's world No. 1 because Korda’s caddie, Jason McDede, just had a baby with his wife, Caroline.

LaCava and Korda were seen chatting on the range ahead of the New Jersey event. Next week’s PGA Championship is located in Rochester, N.Y., at Oak Hill Country Club, a trip which should be relatively convenient for LaCava as he returns to his regular bag.

After 12 years of caddying for Woods, LaCava’s split from Woods became public at the beginning of May. Woods underwent an ankle surgery in late April, and the recovery process will take him out of competition for several months, if not longer.
