Is Collin Morikawa ready for a green jacket?

In this episode, the show previews the 2021 Masters with a focus on Collin Morikawa, who will be making his second Masters start this week. Morikawa looks ready for a serious run, as host Garrett Johnston explains by looking at Morikawa's recent strokes-gained statistics and the strong recent history of second-time Masters participants finding success at Augusta.

Johnston chats with Morikawa's caddie, J.J. Jakovac, who is caddying in his eighth Masters, and he tells us why he thinks Morikawa's game fits well with Augusta National. Jakovac also describes the delicate way players must putt on the greens at Augusta National. He chooses words such as "funneling" the ball to the hole, instead of trying to make the longer putts.

Morikawa's long-time swing coach, Rick Sessinghaus, who has coached Morikawa since age 8, describes team Morikawa's Augusta National game plan, including strategy on the ever-important par 5s. He shares a few things Morikawa has been working on with his short and long games, including chipping with his 5-wood.

Sessinghaus says that Paul Azinger, the NBC Sports and Golf Channel commentator, has helped Morikawa with his chipping and touch around the greens. Sessinghaus also breaks down the differences in Morikawa's putting stroke and how his pupil releases the putter while employing a pencil grip similar to the one used by 1998 Masters winner Mark O'Meara.
