Favorites, sleepers, best bets at Colonial (no, we don't predict Mickelson to win again this week)

The Tour is back in Texas, and the Mickelson afterglow is in full effect -- even though our guys aren't betting on him. Who do they like? Players who excel at the tee-to-green category. A few names jump out.

The Pga Tour rolls back to Texas this week for one last stop in the Lone Star State this season. Fresh off a stunning victory at the 2021 PGA Championship, Phil Mickelson is in the field. RotoWire's Jeff Erickson and Scott Jenstad, and Morning Read's Jeff Ritter agree that it's best to steer clear of Mickelson in fantasy lineups this week, but go ahead and appreciate his historic victory all the same.

Whom do the hosts like? Collin Morikawa has everyone's attention. He lost this event in a playoff to Daniel Berger last year, but today Morikawa leads the Tour in tee-to-green, which looks like the key stat for this golf course. Jordan Spieth also looks tempting, but he's at a higher price. Ritter finally is ready to accept Will Zalatoris as a great player, and he's also eyeing Scottie Scheffler. Jenstad continues to bump Corey Conners and Charley Hoffman.

For deep sleepers, Ritter says to watch out for Peter Uihlein and Michael Thompson. Jenstad taps Vincent Whaley as a player with long odds at a tempting price.

But there can only be one winner. Here are the hosts' picks in one-and-done pools:

Jenstad: Collin Morikawa
Ritter: Will Zalatoris
Erickson: Corey Conners
