The PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs begin this week, and there’s enough money behind the series to capture the top players’ interest. But the fans? That’s another issue

This week on the PGA Tour, the rich will get richer. Co-hosts John Hawkins and Mike Purkey dive headfirst into the three-week dollar derby known as the FedEx Cup playoffs. Don’t kick yourself if you can’t figure out the metrics behind the money; Hawk & Purk can’t, either. But there's a bigger consideration. “Any time you can get the best players in the world together in one place, I think it’s a good thing,” Purkey said. “I don’t care what you call it.”
