Alex Miceli wonders whether the mid-June target date for the PGA Tour’s restart might be too much, too soon, given all of the unknowns regarding the need to test for coronavirus

Professional golf will restart in mid-June, and it all depends on the success of social distancing. But for Alex Miceli, the concerns about coronavirus go beyond what the fans will face whenever they eventually are allowing back onto the grounds. “Are we going too fast? It’s hard to say. It’s a concern of mine, and I’m sure it’s a concern of other people. … Wait till we bring fans to the golf course. Then what?” As Miceli notes, the desire to return to something resembling normal so soon might be an overreach. “At what point does bringing them back in the marketplace make no sense?”
