What’s next for President Donald Trump in the golf business, now that he is soon to become a private citizen again? The PGA of America pulled its 2022 PGA Championship from Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey late Sunday, just hours before the R&A declared that it will not return the British Open to Trump Turnberry under the Scottish course’s present ownership. Expect the European Tour to adopt a similar hands-off approach. None of that will be good for business, Morning Read publisher Alex Miceli predicted. “You’ll start seeing Donald Trump off-loading these properties,” Miceli said.
