Creating joint integrity and stability will not only help you move and feel better on the golf course, it will also create more mobility for you off the course. My favorite kind of exercise.

When we think of mobility, we normally envision some kind of stretch — we forget how important it is to be careful that the joint is stable as well. An unstable joint will try to strengthen itself by using other muscles around it, and those muscles probably aren't supposed to be working as hard. That leads to tighter muscles, which reduces range of motion.

Give these "Hip Airplanes" a try. Focus on maximizing all of your movements from the hip joint. You'll eventually notice things moving a littler smoother, and hopefully your tee shots fly a littler farther. Perform 3 sets of 10 reps per side.
