When Bandon Dunes opened in 1999 with the David McLay Kidd-designed course of the same name as its only offering, the destination was widely acclaimed.

In 2005, with Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails added to its portfolio, the resort situated along the southwest Oregon coastline was hailed as "The Best Place on the Planet for Golf" by one golf travel publication.

Bandon has done nothing to diminish that claim in the years since. Old Macdonald, Bandon Preserve and Sheep Ranch have opened, along with an 18-hole putting course, The Punchbowl.

In addition to Kidd's work, pre-eminent course architects Tom Doak, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have crafted designs on the Bandon property.
