Rock Fall romps in Belmont feature
NEW YORK (AP) Rock Fall rolled to a 3¼-length victory Wednesday in the $77,000 allowance feature at Belmont Park.
Ridden by Javier Castellano and trained by Todd Pletcher, the 3-year-old colt raced to his second win in three starts.
The 1-2 favorite took charge on the turn and sprinted clear to a six-length advantage. He coasted home, never threatened by Real Estate Rich, who rallied from last in the six-horse field to get second.
The time was 1:09.16 for six furlongs.
Rock Fall paid $3.10, $2.10 and $2.10. Real Estate Rich returned $2.90 and $2.30, and American Progress paid $3.80 to show.
