Horvat Clan wins Belmont feature

NEW YORK (AP) Horvat Clan set the pace for 1 1/2 miles Wednesday to win the $77,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

Jose Lezcano guided the 5-year-old gelding trained by David Cannizzo to a 2 1/2 length victory over Special Agent in 2:22.92 over the firm course. The 7-1 shot paid $16, $7.70 and $5.20 for his fourth win in 18 starts.

Special Agent returned $6.50 and $3.80, and Hines paid $3.10 to show.
