SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) Carameaway took command midway around the far turn and powered to a 3 1/2-length victory over stablemate Dreaming of Cara in the $100,000 Saratoga Dew at Saratoga Race Course.

A 4-year-old daughter of Lawyer Ron ridden by Rajiv Maragh, Carameaway ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:52.54 over a muddy main track Thursday and paid $11.20, $11 and $6 as half of a Mitch Friedman-trained entry with runner-up Dreaming of Cara. Get Gorgeous returned $5.60 to show.

The win was the first in seven starts this year for Carameaway, whose last victory came in April 2013.

In the co-feature, Schoodic gained the advantage after clearing the final jump and sprinted clear to a four-length victory in the $75,000 Michael G. Walsh Novice steeplechase stakes.
