Heart to Heart wins Better Talk Now at Saratoga
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) Making his third start in the United States, Canadian shipper Heart to Heart led all the way to win the $100,000 Better Talk Now by three lengths at Saratoga Race Course.
Ridden by Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez, the 3-year-old son of grass champion English Channel ran one mile on the inner turf course in 1:33.97 Wednesday and paid $9.70, $5.20 and $3.70 as the third choice in a field of seven.
Los Borrachos rallied from last to get second, returning $7.40 and $4.10. It was 2 3/4 lengths back to Pure Sensation, who finished a head in front of Here's Johnny and paid $3.10 to show. Mark My Way, favorite Storming Inti and Crafstman completed the order of finish.
The victory was the first in a stakes race for Heart to Heart, who was eighth in the Queen's Plate, the first leg of Canada's Triple Crown, in July and most recently third in the Toronto Cup.
