Dayatthespa wins Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Dayatthespa led all the way to win the $2 million Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, giving trainer Chad Brown a 1-2 finish.

Dayatthespa held off stablemate Stephanie's Kitten by 1 1/4 lengths on Saturday at Santa Anita. Just The Judge was third, another half-length back.

Dank, the defending champion, ran fourth.

It was the third Breeders' Cup win for Brown, and second this weekend. He won the Juvenile Fillies Turf on Friday with Lady Eli.

Dayatthespa paid $13, $6.60 and $4.60. Stephanie's Kitten returned $5.20 and $3.80 while Just The Judge paid $4.60 to show.

Javier Castellano was aboard for his fourth Breeders' Cup victory.

The time was 2:00.12 for 1 1/4 miles on the course rated good after overnight rain.
