Mutin wins Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) Mutin won in his U.S. debut, rallying to beat Sky Blazer by three-quarters of a length Sunday in the $75,000 allowance feature on the turf at Aqueduct.

A 4-year-old bred in France, Mutin compiled a record of 4 for 8 in Europe and Dubai. Now in Kiaran McLaughlin's barn, the colt dropped back to sixth before launching the winning three-wide bid turning for home with Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard.

The time was 1:46.48 for 1 1/16 miles on the course rated good.

Well-backed at 4-1 in his first race since January, Mutin paid $10.40, $5.30 and $4.10. Sky Blazer, the 2-1 second choice, returned $3.90 and $2.70, and Saratoga Snacks paid $5.30 to show.
