Storied Lady, Big Business win Big A stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Storied Lady and Big Business won the $100,000 stakes for New York breds on Wednesday at Aqueduct.

Storied Lady rallied from fifth to beat Miss Da Point by two lengths in the Bay Ridge for fillies and mares. The 3-year-old trained by John Hertler and ridden by Jose Ortiz got her first stakes victory, the fourth win overall in 15 starts.

She paid $14.60 to win. The time was 1:47.05 for the 1 1/16 miles.

Big Business held off Beautyinthepulpit by a head in the Alex M. Robb as the 5-2 favorite. The 6-year-old gelding earned his 11th win in 33 starts. It was also his first stakes triumph.

Fernando Jara rode for trainer David Jacobson as Big Business paid $7.10 to win.

The time was 1:44.33.
