Majestic Affair wins Big A's Capossela Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) Majestic Affair beat Joe Franklin by 5 3/4 lengths Friday in the $98,000 Fred Capossela Stakes for 3-year-old sprinters at Aqueduct.

Kendrick Carmouche guided the 3-5 favorite trained by Chad Brown to his first stakes victory, the third overall in five starts. The time was 1:11.78 for six furlongs.

Majestic Affair paid $3.20, $2.30 and $2.10. Joe Franklin returned $3.80 and $2.20, and Ship Disturber paid $2.10 to show.
