NEW YORK (AP) Went the Day Well, once a promising Triple Crown contender, ended a lengthy losing streak Sunday in the $59,000 allowance feature for New York breds at Aqueduct.

Went the Day Well rallied to beat Testosterstone by three quarters of a length for his first victory since the Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park on March 24, 2012. The Spiral was the springboard weeks later into the Kentucky Derby, where he rallied from 17th to finish fourth.

Angel Arroyo was aboard as Went the Day Well ran the one mile, 70 yards in 1:43.67, paying $14, $7.30 and $5.30. The 6-year-old is trained by Jimmy Jerkins.

Testosterstone, the longest price in the race at 22-1, returned $22.80 and $8.80, while Alcolite paid $3.60 to show.
