Saratoga Snacks wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) Saratoga Snacks rallied to beat Readthebyline by one length Thursday in the $69,000 allowance feature for New York breds at Aqueduct.

It was strictly a two-horse race as Readthebyline set the pace with Saratoga Snacks tracking in second. Those two dueled in deep stretch before Saratoga Snacks edged clear for his eighth win in 18 starts.

Angel Arroyo was aboard for owner-trainer Gary Sciacca as the 6-year-old ran the mile in 1:38.29 on the fast track.

Saratoga Snacks paid $9.20, $5.90 and $4. Readthebyline returned $5.50 and $4.30 while Readtheprospectus paid $5.30 to show.

The New York Racing Association canceled Friday's card, citing forecasts calling for extreme cold and high winds.

Racing at Aqueduct is now slated to resume on Saturday.
