CHELTENHAM, England (AP) Cole Harden triumphed in the World Hurdle in the marquee race on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival on Thursday, denying retiring jockey Tony McCoy a success in the only big race of the meeting that he has never won.

But the champion jockey will not leave his final Cheltenham Festival empty-handed after taking Uxizandre from pillar to post in the Ryanair Chase.

McCoy's At Fishers Cross was fourth in the World Hurdle as 14-1 shot Cole Harden delivered a first Cheltenham victory for trainer Warren Greatrex and jockey Gavin Sheehan.

Cole Harden finished three-and-a-quarter lengths ahead of Paul Nicholls-trained 5-1 favorite Saphir Du Rheu, whose stalemate Zarkandar was third.
