NEW YORK (AP) Monster Energy drink has a new celebrity athlete endorsing the caffeinated beverage: Triple Crown hopeful American Pharoah.

In the days leading up to Saturday's Belmont Stakes, the colt will wear a blanket featuring the product logo. The owners, Zayat Stables, will wear sponsor hats and jockey Victory Espinoza will carry the company trademark on his collar during the race.

''He's a monster of a horse, and everybody is full of energy,'' stable manager Justin Zayat said of the promotional deal.
