DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) Chati's On Top won the $150,000 Solana Beach Handicap for California-bred fillies and mares by 1 1/2 lengths Sunday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Santiago Gonzalez, Chati's On Top ran one mile on turf in 1:34.49 and paid $13.80, $5 and $3.60.

Chaulk O Lattey returned $5 and $3.60, while Mangita was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $10 to show. Smoove It, the 9-5 favorite, finished fifth in the nine-horse field.

The victory, worth $85,500, increased Chati's On Top's career earnings to $294,728, with four wins in 15 starts.

In the $100,500 Rancho Bernardo Handicap for older fillies and mares, Taris won by 2 3/4 lengths under Hall of Famer Gary Stevens.

She ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.31 and paid $4.20, $2.60 and $2.80 as the 11-10 favorite.
