Holy Lute wins Green Flash Handicap

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) Holy Lute overhauled Distinctiv Passion in the final sixteenth to win the $87,080 Green Flash Handicap by a length Wednesday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Santiago Gonzalez, Holy Lute ran five furlongs on turf in 56.24 seconds and paid $12.60, $4 and $3.40.

Distinctiv Passion returned $2.80 and $2.10 as the 4-5 favorite. Bobby Z Man was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third and paid $4.80 to show.

The victory, worth $50,220, increased Holy Lute's career earnings to $330,142, with four wins in 18 starts.
