DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) Wiggle It Jiggleit won the Little Brown Jug on Thursday, rallying to edge Lost for Words by a nose in the third leg of the 3-year-old colt and gelding pacing triple crown.

Wiggle It Jiggleit, driven by Montrell Teague for owner-father George Teague Jr, and trainer Clyde Francis, finished the mile in 1:49.3. The Teagues and Francis are the first black sole owner, driver and trainer to win the Little Brown Jug.

Wiggle It Jiggleit battled Lost for Words, driven by David Miller, for more than half-mile after Lost for Words took the early lead.

''That was definitely a war,'' Montrell Teague said.

At the head of the stretch, Lost for Words pulled slightly ahead, but Wiggle It Jiggleit, made a final push and put a nose in front at the finish.

''I thought he was beat at the head of the stretch,'' George Teague Jr. said.

Artspeak, driven by Scott Zeron, was third, three-quarters of a length behind the winner.

Wiggle It Jiggleit was originally not staked to the Little Brown Jug, but with his victory in the Meadowlands Pace, he was able to supplement into the Jug for $45,000. Since supplements were first allowed in 1999 to the Jug, only five horses have been supplemented to the race. The best previous finishes were three thirds.

Wiggle It Jiggleit is a son of Mr Wiggles, who finished sixth in the 2009 Little Brown Jug.

George Teague Jr. owns Mr. Wiggles as well as Mozzi Hanover, the mother of Wiggle It Jiggleit,

Earlier, Wiggle It Jiggleit battled with Artspeak to win the second division in a Little Brown Jug-tying track time of 1:49.2. Lost for Words won the first division in 1:50.1.

Wiggle It Jiggleit has won 18 of 20 races this year. He earned $330,376 on Thursday and has made $1,769.520 this year. He made only one start as a 2-year-old because of soreness, earning $6,300.

In the other legs of the triple crown, Dealt A Winner won the Cane Pace at the Meadowlands, and Revenge Shark took the Messenger Stakes at Yonkers Raceway. Wiggle It Jiggleit was fourth in the Cane Pace, and skipped the Messenger Stakes.
