Bond Vigilante wins Belmont Park feature

NEW YORK (AP) Bond Vigilante beat Gypsum Johnny by 1 3/4 lengths Wednesday in the $65,000 allowance feature for New York breds at Belmont Park.

The 5-year-old was claimed by trainer Bruce Levine for $50,000 from his previous start. The acquisition paid immediate dividends as Bond Vigilante raced to his sixth win in 15 starts.

Ridden by Jose Ortiz, the winner ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16.17 and paid $11.40, $4.90 and $3.20.

Gypsum Johnny returned $6.30 and $3.40, and Rectify, the 2-1 favorite, paid $2.70 to show.
