Gigi's Kitten springs 14-1 upset in Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) Gigi's Kitten got up in the final jumps for a 14-1 upset Thursday in the $67,000 allowance feature for 3-year-old fillies on the turf at Aqueduct.

Last in the early stages, Gigi's Kitten closed alertly to nip the pacesetting Rock Me Again for her second win in four starts.

Junior Alvarado was aboard for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, with Gigi's Kitten running 1 1/16 miles in 1:46.31 over firm course.

Gigi's Kitten paid $31.40, $10.60 and $4.30.

Rock Me Again returned $7.80 and $3, and Tapitry, the 1-2 favorite, paid $2.10 to show.
