Nubin Ridge wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) Nubin Ridge prevailed by a nose Sunday in the $69,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.

Only a half length separated the first five. After the photo-finish camera sorted the results, Nubin Ridge had his sixth win 40 career starts.

Irad Ortiz Jr. was aboard for trainer Chris Englehart as the 5-year-old gelding ran the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:17.28.

Nubin Ridge paid $11.20, $6.60 and $3.20.

Sir Bond was second, returning $10.20 and $4.70 while S'maverlous paid $2.60 to show.

Juba the 9/5 favorite was fourth followed by the pacesetting Cerro to complete the blanket finish.
