NEW YORK (AP) Fire Away beat Belisarius by a half-length Friday in the $71,000 allowance feature on the turf at Aqueduct.

The 3-year-old colt posted his second straight win for the Hall of Fame team of trainer Shug McGaughey and jockey John Velazquez.

The time was 2:17.14 for 1 3/8 miles over the yielding course.

Fire Away, the 2-1 favorite, paid $6.80, $3.60 and $2.70. Belisarius returned $5 and $3.50, and Umgiyo paid $4.70 to show.
