NEW YORK (AP) Souper Knight beat Life in Shambles by one length Friday in his debut for trainer Rudy Rodriguez, the $69,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct.

Rodriguez claimed the 5-year-old gelding for $50,000 at Belmont Park in September. He was 4 for 19 before the barn change.

The time was 1:37.76 for the mile race switched from the turf to the main track labeled good.

Javier Castellano was aboard as the 4-1 second choice paid $10.80, $5.60 and $4. Life in Shambles returned $9.60 and $5.90 while Picozza paid $4.50 to show.

Noble Moon, the 6 to 5 favorite, was the trailer in the seven-horse field after prompting the pace set by fourth-place finisher Celebrated Talent.
