Alex the Terror beats slop and fog to take Aqueduct feature

NEW YORK (AP) Alex the Terror splashed through the slop to win the $69,000 allowance feature Wednesday at Aqueduct.

The heavy fog that rolled across the track obscured vision of the race from the grandstand. Only in deep stretch was it clear that the consistent Alex the Terror was headed to another victory.

The 3-year-old trained by John Toscano and ridden by Kendrick Carmouche beat Sir Bond by 3 1/2 lengths, his third win in the last four starts.

Alex the Terror paid $14, $6.70 and $4.20. Sir Bond returned $10.40 and $5.80, while S'maverlous returned $3.20 to show.

The time was 1:10.54 for the six furlongs.
