ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Path of David rallied in the stretch to win the $75,000 Eddie Logan Stakes for 2-year-olds by a length Thursday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Joe Talamo, Path of David ran a mile on turf in 1:36.07 and paid $4.20, $3.40 and $2.40 as the even-money favorite for trainer Kristin Mulhall.

Imperious One returned $5.20 and $3.40, while Arabian Leopard was another half-length back in third and paid $3.60 to show.

The victory, worth $46,800, increased Path of David's career earnings to $90,555.

Logan ran the track's shoeshine stand from 1934 until shortly before his death at age 98 in 2009.
