Enchanting Lady wins feature by 4 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) Enchanting Lady took charge with a quarter-mile to go and went on to a 4 1/4-length victory in the $60,000 feature for older fillies and mares Thursday at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Martin Garcia, Enchanting Lady ran 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:15.18 and paid $4.20, $3.20 and $2.10. The 4-year-old filly trained by Bob Baffert had been idle since July 4.

Pica returned $9.40 and $4, while Finest City was another half-length back in third and paid $2.20 to show.

The victory, worth $36,000, increased Enchanting Lady's career earnings to $232,280, with three wins in eight starts.
